Gallery 1 at The Lighthouse will surely be awash with creative talent this Christmas!

Alternacraft movers and shakers, Miso Funky, show off their latest collection of provocative, witty and downright giggle-inducing cross-stitch samplers. Also look out for new homewares, gifts and stationery products too!
Flossy & Dossy
Vintage inspired fashion designer and knitter extraordinaire, Wendy Harman – aka Flossy & Dossy returns to Made in the Shade with a fabulous range of frocks, accessories, purty blouses and cosy but glamorous knits. Christmas party wardrobe dilemmas? Sorted.
Astrid Weigel
Textile designer, Astrid wowed us with her beautiful printed designs back in 2009 when she set up shop at our Edinburgh showcase. We’ve been gooey eyed ever since. Buy cushions and plush decos, stunning tableware and festive trimmings.
Hole in my Pocket
Allistair is an architect and artist. He gets up to all sorts! He’s made short films for Channel 4, he’s built a Victorian story telling machine and he’s even ventured into politics, starting his own religion in backlash against the expenses scandal! We promise we WILL try to get him to being his story telling machine/deliver a rousing sermon, but we’re also excited to see his latest collection of giftware! Handpainted Russian dolls, tshirts, badges, mugs, greetings cards, art – it’s all coming your way! Don’t miss it.

A long time craft ambassador, independent designer, blogging-whizz and zinester, Marceline Smith brings her new collection of stationery, accessories and Japanese-inspired paper products and gifts to The Hullabaloo!
Auntie M’s Cake Lounge
We are thrilled to have our ol’ De Courcy’s Arcade neighbour and cake queen join us at The Lighthouse this season. Treat yourself to the tastiest cake you’ll find this sidoe of Cakesville – or maybe try out a festive whoopie pie! Sweeties galore.
Plastic Bat
Purveyor of the super popular Las Vegas necklace, Plastic Bat has to be one of the funnest, cutest and all round kitschiest jewellery labels out there! We’re delighted that owner/maker Tracy is trekking all the way from Aberdeen to join us at The Hullabaloo.
Florence Box Jewellery
When actress Sally Reid isn’t treading the boards in Scotland’s theatres, she’s collecting unusual, cute charms to incorporate into her collection of jewellery and accessories. We thrilled to welcome her back. A popular Made in the Shade regular!

A Made in the Shade newbie, artist illustrator Fiona Purves’ work made us wheep aloud. Photographer (and honourary Made in the Shade fella) Garry Maclennan returns to The Lighthouse this season to share his ever-popular collection of robot photographs! As well as your favourite futuristic characters, expect to see some of Garry’s latest gems + tonnes of photo-led gifts designed specifically to solve your stocking filler dilemmas!
Clare Nicolson
Made in the Shade gal, Clare has been busy whipping up a new set of textile designs. Visit her at The Hullabaloo and let her show you around! Of course, expect pretty fabric decorations, super-cute lavender birds and gorgeous cushions to boot.
Lady Wurlitzer
Made in the Shade gal, Carrie resurrects her handmade soap & bath products range for Christmas 2012. Best sellers of the past will return, joined by tonnes of almost edible fragrances and luxurious lotions and potions.

We’re delighted to welcome designer maker Sheena to The Hullabaloo. Sheena’s silk pompom scarves make us whoop – and you can be your boots she’ll make your eyes pop with her pretty, colourful textile accessories and wearables this Christmas.

In a super-cool studio in Glasgow’s Hidden Lane, Finch & Fouracre design and make a fabulous range of models and DIY kits. We’ve been honoured to stock their Tenements and Tinyments at The Maisonette all this time and now we’re thrilled to welcome ‘em to our event! Look out for limited edition, F&F seasonal specials! Another Maisonette pal joins us at our event for the very first time! Andrea (aka Flannery O’Kafka) is a wonderful textile artist and collector and reinventor of vintage paper products. From quirky cross-stitch and intricate embroidery to upcycled papers and fun giftware, you are sure to be utterly beguiled by the Flannery O’Kafka range.
Lou Lou & Oscar
Designer maker Lisa Aaron’s textile art sets our hearts a-flutter. With such attention to detail, a whole load of imagination and more than just a smattering of humour, Lou Lou & Oscar presents her latest collection of stitched characters and embroidered pieces! We cannot WAIT to see ‘em. Bet you can’t either!
A Wooden Tree
Kirsty Anderson (A Wooden Tree) is a textile artist from Edinburgh. She has set up shop with Made in the Shade loyally since May 2008 and we’re so pleased she can join us for our one-off Hullabaloo. Kirsty works with reclaimed fabrics and other interesting found materials to create beautiful gifts, homewares and decorative items that make you feel cosy and warm inside.
T-Boo
Long-time craftster and jewellery maker, Tracey (t-boo), makes a range of wearables incorporating a mixture of new, vintage and handmade components. She has a penchant for quartz, wood and polymer clay and is more than a little partial to some shiny, sparkliness! Your first port of call for charm bracelets and pretty brooches for SURE!
Stella My Star
Using her magpie eyes to seek out the best charms and adornments for her designs, Jo (Stella My Star) has a knack of combining old and new elements to produce super-special but versatile and ultra-wearable jewellery pieces. Add some festive sparkle to your party frock with a fabulous necklace? Or maybe an amazing ring? yes please!
Leah Halliday
Vintage magpie and sewing whizz Leah Halliday rocks up to The Hullabaloo this season with her massive collection of vintage homewares, ephemera and handmade gifts. Crockery, decorative items, paper products, sewing notions, ‘lil keepsakes and super-special stocking fillers all to be found right here!
Small Stories
Based in Inverurie, artist and maker Gabi Reith (Small Stories) brings her beautiful illustrations to life in the form of giftware, wearables and decorative objects. The stories and characters she creates go on to inform the design of printed tea towels, greetings cards, jewellery pieces and prints. Pretty neat, huh? Be sure to stop by.
Ruth Hollywood
Looking to wow a gal pal with a special, wearable gift this Christmas? Working in silver and oxidised silver, Ruth designs and makes unusual wearables the high street chains can only dream of replicating! Visit Ruth at The Hullabaloo. Tell her we sent you! ;)
Eloise Kerr
Inspired by organic form and pattern, jewellery maker Eloise creates and produces interesting and unusual jewellery pieces made from a mixture of precious and non-precious metals. She is currentlyenjoying working with brass and stainless steel. Yum!
Dapple Photography
We are thrilled to have photographer Gillian Hayes (Dapple Photography) join the Made in the Shade vendor line-up this season. Already on display in both Made in the Shade gal’s homes, Gillian’s work is amazeballs. Glasgow landmarks, empty, moody places, vintage objects and colour all appear in her photos. Visit her at The Hullabaloo for beautiful prints, super-cool stationery and perfect, artsy gifts for your pals.
Natalie Farrell
Sugary, colourful and oh-so-purty, Natalie’s collection of impeccably stitched purses, pouches, make-up bags and mini-clutches looks good enough to eat! Swing by and say hello – and feel your spirits lift just looking at the sweetie-shop colourways!
The Print Assembly
Part of a broader project to invigorate and promote sustainable printing, The Print Assembly present their latest collection of printed textiles and paper products. Beautiful wall hangings, scarves and handbound books are among this season’s range. Monoprinting, stencilling and block printing, The Print Assembly embrace low-tech printing processes AND further their sustainability project by utlising only natural dyes. Pretty swell, huh? Come support ‘em!
Mr PS
Joining us all the way from Salford, we are excited to have one of our long distance Maisonette star-turns set up shop at our Hullabaloo! Megan (aka Mr PS) designs and makes AMAZING printed work. Heavy-duty, super-stylish totes, amazing tea towels, cute hankies, stationery, prints… She’s a design & print whizz! Don’t miss it!
Dazed Dorothy
Corinne Robinson, Queen of the Clutch, shows off her latest collection of gorgeous, handsewn leather accessories. Designed and made in nearby Lanarkshire, Corinne’s purses, wallets, passport covers, hair accessories and be-au-ti-ful bags incorporate detailed embellishments and intricate stitchin’. Bags like these you will never find on the zzzzzzz-fest high street.
Angharad Maclaren
Angharad is a weaver with specialising in designing and producing colourful, contemporary woven textiles. Using predominantly undyed Shetland lambswool in her work, Angharad designs and makes a beautiful range of gifts, accessories and items for the home. Look out for gorgeous lavender bags and super snuggly hot water bottle covers!
Glasgow School of Art
We are thrilled to welcome Glasgow School of Art Enterprise to Made in the Shade! Showcasing a range of creative work designed and made by staff, students and alumni of GSA, expect to find one-off silver craft jewellery pieces to off-beat acrylic badges – and everything inbetween via printed textiles, ceramics and laser cut wearables.
Kevin Morris
GSA graduate and talented ceramicist, Kevin Morris, introduces his little flock of decorative friends to the Hullabaloo. Pigeons, doves, swallows… Meet them all. And – should you be looked to home some real-life feathered friends, Kevin even makes 100% functional ceramic birdhouses too!
Fantoosherie
Purveyor of the prettiest textile accessories, we welcome back Jennifer Fraser (aka Fantoosherie) to the Made in the Shade event. Working with a variety of fabrics – from patterened cottons to lush velvets and delicate lace, Jennifer’s range of jewellery and accessories makes us wheep aloud. We’re pretty certain you might make a (good) noise too.
Lesley Barnes
Lesley Barnes is an illustrator and animator. We are so pleased and thoroughly proud to have Lesley host a mini pop-up cinema at The Hullabaloo. But as though that wasn’t exciting enough, Lesely will also be setting up shop, showcasing her range of beautiful prints and paper products plus printed leather items and brilliant gifts. Whoop!
Miss Lottie Lou
Our friend & Maisonette neighbour (everybody needs good neighbours), Charlotte, designs and makes vintage inspired clothing. Sailor pants? Frocks? Purty blouses? She got ‘em. Box pleat skirts? She got ‘em. Fancy 40s style two-piece? Yup – she got ‘em too! Add to all that a beautiful collection of vintage jewellery and accessories and you have yourself the ultimate 40s/50s repro wardrobe!
