As one of our very favourite local artists, we are pleased as punch to welcome animator Lesley Barnes to our vendor line-up – but more than that, we are SO excited that Lesley has agreed to host a ‘lil pop-up cinema at the Holiday Hullabaloo!
Maisonette customers, you will be familiar with Lesley’s work. We’ve been proud to stock her amazing leather bookmarks, cards and prints since opening our shop over two years ago. Or – you might remember this, the surprise design she made for the Made in the Shade gals specially!
Having been lucky enough to attend one of Lesley’s screening parties before, we are absolutely certain that this season’s pop-up cinema special will be utterly magnificent! The last we heard, Lesley was contemplating which sort of popcorn to serve. Lesley’s animations are utterly beguiling. One of our favourites has to be the music video she made earlier this year for the remix of Belle & Sebastian’s ‘I Didn’t See It Coming’. Expect dancing bears, pretty people, knights, animals, marching bands, lions – and more!
